Steal An Egg trading

How player-to-player trading works, what sets the value, and the habits that keep you from getting burned.

Straight answer: Steal An Egg has player-to-player trading, and value follows the confirmed rarity ladder — Divine at the top, then Eternal, Secret, then the standard classes. A pet's exact trade value depends on its rarity, its size, and whether it carries a mutation, so treat any single "price" number you see as a range, not a fixed figure. Verify the live offer in the trade window before you commit. If you want the numbers behind a pet before you counter-offer, the income calculator turns any per-second value into per-hour income.

How value works

Most players trade to consolidate value: they turn several mid-tier pets into one stronger pet, one rung at a time, instead of waiting for one lucky hatch. The ladder the game confirms, from top down:

  • Divine — the top of the ladder. The rarest class, prized for collection value and trades.
  • Eternal — elite earners, second only to Divine.
  • Secret — hidden drops with strong demand.
  • Huge — oversized, hard to get, strong per-second earners.
  • Mutated — a mutation stacked on a base pet.
  • Common & standard classes — your starter farm; stack them for MPS.

Mutations add premium value on top of the class. A pet with a mutation can trade for more than a same-rarity pet without one, even though the tier label doesn't change. Size works the same way — bigger pets command more in trades.

Rarity label isn't the whole story. Always weigh a trade by the live offer, not the rarity name. A Divine you can't reach is less useful than a Legendary you own — the same logic the tier list applies to ranking by income.

Trading up, one rung at a time

The safe pattern for climbing without a lucky hatch: collect several pets of a class, then trade them together for one pet a rung higher. Repeat. You give up volume, you gain a stronger earner. This is slower than a big hatch but far more predictable.

  1. Know your floor. Check the value ladder before you trade anything away.
  2. Bundle mid-tier. Trade several mid pets for one stronger pet instead of one-for-one on a low rung.
  3. Confirm in the window. The offer you see in chat may differ from the real window. Check twice, trade once.
  4. Keep a core earner. Never trade away your best income pet for a chase unless the upgrade is real.

What to avoid

  • Trusting unsolicited offers. Random "trade me" chat messages are where bad deals and bait live. Only trade with players you've verified or in trusted servers.
  • Treating a price as fixed. A pet's value moves with the meta and with new releases. The number on a value-clone site is a guide, not the price.
  • Giving away your earner. If you're still building your farm, keep your best income pet. A stronger chase pet you can't yet support doesn't help your MPS.
